The 2014 Webby Award Honorees have been announced, and Geotunes picked up two honors in the categories of Media Streaming and Best Visual Design – Function.

The KUSC Interactive team is incredibly honored to share that Geotunes has been selected as a double honoree in the 18th annual Webby Awards. Despite being fresh off of our experience at the SXSW Interactive Awards, the thrill of being recognized for our hard work simply never gets old. The Webbys in particular are so exciting to be a part of — I know that I speak for the whole team when I say that it’s humbling and extremely rewarding to be recognized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences for the hard work that we put into Geotunes.

The team sincerely thanks the Academy for this recognition, as well as everyone who has used Geotunes to explore their world, both near and far, to discover new relationships between places and music. We hope you all are having as much fun with Geotunes as we did building it!

Geotunes was created through the efforts of Chris Mendez, Grant Kindrick, Marc Neuwirth, Carly Gillis, Tim Herscovitch, and Albert Diaz.
